Tŷ Pawb

Tŷ Pawb is Wrexham's award winning arts, markets and community hub in the heart of the city centre. Its name means "everyone's house" in Welsh, and under one roof it brings together contemporary art galleries, a theatre, a food court and a market hall home to more than 30 local independent businesses.

ABOUT TŶ PAWB

Tŷ Pawb opened in 2018 on the site of the former People's Market, after a £4.5 million transformation funded by the Welsh Government, Arts Council of Wales and Wrexham County Borough Council. The idea was simple but bold: put art and markets side by side, celebrating the central role that markets have played in Wrexham's life and identity for centuries.

The result is a building that is part gallery, part market, part social space, run by Wrexham County Borough Council and used every day by shoppers, families, artists and community groups. It has since won multiple awards.

WHAT TO SEE AND DO

  • Galleries: two exhibition spaces showing changing contemporary art, one built to national standards for touring exhibitions.

  • Market hall: more than 30 local independent traders, from food to crafts and gifts.

  • Food court: a choice of independent food and drink traders around a shared seating area, plus a bar.

  • Performance: a theatre and performance space hosting live events, including a monthly comedy night.

  • Gallery shop: prints, books, cards and gifts by artists and makers.

  • Learning and community: workshops, classes and activities for all ages, plus meeting rooms for local groups.

  • Events: markets, festivals and celebrations through the year.
